Traveling and Art
Since moving to Singapore in 2022, my world has changed into a multicultural movie. I have the opportunity to travel more since my husbands work takes us to Japan and Taiwan every quarter of the year. Along with those travels, we have incorporated traveling to other parts of southeast Asia and from this experience, I have been exposed to so much art and cultures that have influenced my art today.
Here is my painting I did after visiting Van Gogh’s art exhibit in Singapore, Yayoi’s museum in Japan and another art exhibit of Frida Kahlo in Singapore. Combining the ‘Vestibule in the Painting’ by Van Gogh, the door design representing all the colors of Frida’s life and the polka doted flowers sharing the love of polka dots by Yayoi. This is the world I live. “Living in color” is a series that I am currently working on.

Manifest your next vacation through Art
How can Art give us the inspiration to create the life that we want? It is through visualization that we manifest on canvas, we start to imagine it is happening, you will start to feel the wine glass in your hand, the breeze in the air, the smell of the roses, the sound of music- it all matters. to manifest this vacation. When we start to imagine our dreams, it slowly becomes reality. We meet like-minded friends who support our dreams, we avoid those that depreciate us by words or actions, we are reminded that we control outcomes and then we take the power no matter the circumstances. It is a full process of starting somewhere, to get to the place you want. If you aren’t making positive changes, you will always live in the cage -never to fly.
